The Bell Shawl Pattern
The latest version is 2026 UK Revised Edition if you have an earlier version please email David.
Method for Bells
6. Sl st into first ch2 space then ch3, 3tr, ch3, 4tr: (1dc between next 2tr, then 4tr, ch3, 4tr into each ch2 space), sl st into top of ch3, (6 groups).
The final paragraph now reads:
Continue working the pattern as rows 7 and 8, continuing to increase the sets of dtr and 3tr CL at the beginning and end of each row as set in rows 1 to 8. This will gradually increase the number of treble clusters and double treble clusters on your shawl and give you the triangular shape. Repeat until the shawl is your required size or you become short of yarn. Finish with a dc edging and attach the bells by threading the hanger through the bottom of each end point of the shawl and pull the bell through the loop.
